Newbie to the forum - hoping somebody can give me some advice...
Having a problem with a new AVIA DSP860 install... (First time using an AVIA DSP...)
Wired TSW1060 works perfectly fine - but Crestron APP (android) seems to be having difficulty with CRPC data overflow or something...
It connects fine at first - then immediately - (within 30 secs) - begins to 'bog down' - (Faders and VU meters VERY SLOW to react) - until it crashes after several minutes...
Suspected client's WiFi network at first - thought it was port blocking or something similar. Had client's IT admin check all the port settings - (both non-SSL and secure) - he claims everything is open for me.
Have since tried my own completely OPEN & unsecured WAP - connected directly to my 1G POE switch - (removed client connection entirely) - and problem persists.
My preference is to use SSL - but have disabled it several times thinking perhaps that was the problem - again no change. TSW ALWAYS works correctly - tablet ALWAYS slow and dodgy - until APP ultimately crashes...
I can use my laptop running the TSW project as an Xpanel - wired or WiFi - it too - works absolutely fine - with EITHER my WAP OR Client WiFi... (Since my laptop works correctly over WiFi - I am relatively confident that the IT guy has the necessary ports open - as he claims.)
Tablet is a Samsung 9.6in Galaxy Tab E - (SMT560NZKUXAC) - running Android 5.0 Lollipop - and I have MANUALLY installed the most current version of the Abode AIR (25.0.0.134) apk - as it is no longer available from Google Play.
The Crestron APP on this particular tablet seems to function normally with my home system project - but I have an old PRO2 and NO CRPC devices at home - with which to test CRPC functionality. :(
I have sent the SIMPL file and all the VTP projects to Crestron True Blue - TB says all looks good and that it should work...
In reviewing the Crestron APP error log - I DO see a 'FATAL AS3' error in there... Which from what I understand is an Adobe Script problem??? ---- However I did send the APP error log file to True Blue - and they didn't seem to think it was a problem... ??? huh ???
Wondering if anyone has seen similar issues specifically with the Android APP & AVIA CRPC functions?
Anybody have any ideas as to what I should try next? Happy to upload a copy of the app error log if it helps.
Thanks in advance for any advice or help you can offer.
